Indian shot dead in Caloocan

MANILA, Philippines - An Indian man was shot dead in Caloocan City over the weekend.  

Sukhdev Singh, 53, was on his motorcycle along Silver street in Barangay 172 when the suspect identified by witnesses as Albert Escamilla emerged from behind and shot him at around 2:30 p.m.

Escamilla fled after the shooting. Bystanders rushed Singh to the hospital but he died while undergoing treatment.

Caloocan police chief Senior Superintendent Bartolome Bustamante has ordered a manhunt for the suspect.

Investigators have yet to determine the motive for the killing.
