MANILA, Philippines - A 21-year-old call center agent was arrested yesterday for allegedly forcing his 18-year-old girlfriend to take abortion-inducing drugs.
Michael Constantin was taken into custody by the Manila Police District’s homicide section after the UERM Hospital called and told police officers about an abortion case at around 6 a.m., Senior Police Officer 3 Glenzor Vallejo said.
Constantin took his girlfriend, a student, to the hospital after she suffered severe bleeding shortly before midnight Saturday.
According to Vallejo, Cons-tantin panicked when he saw his girlfriend bleeding profusely after he forced her to take an abortion-inducing drug.
The teenager was reported to be in stable condition.
