Model loses P.5 M to burglars

MANILA, Philippines - French-Filipina commercial model and actress Solenn Heussaff lost more than P.5 million in valuables to burglars who broke into her house in South Forbes Park Subdivision in Makati City yesterday morning.

A report reaching the Makati police said the burglary happened at about 9:15 a.m. at the model’s house on Tamarind street.

According to Senior Inspector Gaylord Tamayo, deputy chief of the Makati police criminal investigation division, the burglars entered the house by forcibly opening a glass sliding window.

Once inside, the burglars ransacked the house and carted away the model’s MacBook laptop computer, a baptismal necklace, a Lumix camera, a Go Pro camera and seven wristwatches. The stolen valuables are estimated to be at P538,000.

Police said Heussaff was at a taping for her show, “Adarna,” when the burglary happened. She discovered the valuables missing when she got home at 11:30 a.m. Investigators have yet to identify the burglars.
