Fire destroys 5 houses in Manila

MANILA, Philippines - A fire of undetermined origin burned down five houses in Sta. Cruz, Manila yesterday morning.

SFO2 Emmanuel Gaspar said the fire started at around 8:26 a.m. at a two-story house owned by Nixon Ramos, who was at work at the time. The fire spread to four other houses before it was put out at around 9:18 a.m.

No one was reported hurt or killed in the fire, which damaged property worth P200,000.
