Teen goes amuck; 1 dead, 2 hurt

MANILA, Philippines - A 17-year-old boy went on a stabbing frenzy following a traffic altercation shortly before midnight Friday in Tondo, Manila, killing a neighbor and injuring two others.

Police said the suspect nearly sideswiped Wilfred Araza, 23, with his bike. Araza reportedly argued with the suspect and nearly beat him up.

Minutes later, the suspect returned with a bladed weapon and attacked Araza and his friends. Cayetano Bato, 31, was declared dead on arrival at the Tondo Medical Center, while Araza and a relative, Ronnie Araza, 9, are being treated for stab wounds. The suspect fled after the attack. – Nestor Etolle
