Tamayo, also local chairman of the "Kaibigan ni GMA Movement," said the recipients must have been doubly happy to receive their CLAs as this would lead to owning the house and lot they are presently occupying. "It must have been a dream come true for them," Tamayo said in a statement.
"We deeply thank President Arroyo for the implementation of social programs where past presidents failed. The decision to distribute authentic certificates of lot allocations to our people in less than 100 days of her presidency is a clear manifestation of her sincerity to alleviate the burden of the poor people not with sweet rhetoric but with positive action," Tamayo added.
Tamayo was joined by mayoralty candidate Cesar Gonzales, vice mayoralty candidate Tirso Cruz III, and a host of socio-civic local leaders in briefing President Arroyo about the pressing needs and problems of Las Piñas.
