PJ hands out school supplies in Talisay

CEBU, Philippines - Rep. Pablo John “PJ” Garcia has assured public elementary and high school students that the distribution of school supplies will continue if he gets elected as governor in next year’s mid-term election.

Pablo John, along with congressional aspirant Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas, Mayor Socrates Fernandez, Vice Mayor Alan Bucao, and Governor Gwendolyn Garcia, distributed at least 44, 205 sets of school supplies to the elementary and high school students at the Talisay City Central Elementary School.

The distribution of school supplies was held recently at the Talisay City Central School.

The number of sets already covered the three school districts of the Department of Education (Deped) in the city.

Distributed were bags, pencils, notebooks, and paper for students and lesson plans and class records for faculty members.

Rep. Garcia reiterated the governor’s focus on the importance of education which he said is the “key to a brighter future.”

If they want to continue the distribution of school supplies, Rep. Garcia said, “Simple ra kaayo... two letters only, ‘PJ- Padayonon Jud’ ni Pablo John Garcia ang pagpanghatag ug school supplies ug mga kaayohan alang sa eskuylahan.”

Meanwhile, Gov. Garcia also signed a memorandum of agreement with a women’s organization in Talisay for the launching of “Bugasan sa Kababayen-an” program of the Capitol.

Ten sacks of rice were turned over as initial capital for their livelihood project. (FREEMAN)
