Man found dead

CEBU, Philippines - A man who was suffering from a kidney problem was found hanging by the neck inside the comfort room of his home Sunday morning in Sombria, Lawaan I, Talisay City.

Bernie Gabin, 45, was found dead by his wife, Annabel Gabin.

The Talisay City Rescue Emergency Action Team (TREAT), led by Dr. Ven Pipa, declared Gabin dead.

Police investigation revealed that on September 3, Gabin informed his wife that he was suffering from a kidney problem but his wife told him not to be discouraged.

About 8:00 p.m. Saturday, Gabin reportedly went to bed ahead of his family.

At around 4:00 a.m. the following day, a neighbor of the family saw Gabin looking for something in the kitchen of their house.

Around 7:00 a.m., Annabel was awakened by a neighbor. At this juncture, Annabel proceeded to the comfort room to relieve herself and there she found her husband hanging from the trusses.  (FREEMAN)
