CEBU, Philippines - A 21-year-old third year high school student who is enrolled in a public school in barangay Cabangcalan in Mandaue City was arrested for the alleged rape of a 15-year-old classmate inside their classroom.
The high school student denied having raped the girl. He claimed they were sweethearts for two years and a half before they broke up. They were lovers again last Tuesday and had sex inside the classroom before they went home.
He said having sex with her was not new. They had been doing it many times before.
The girl went home ahead of him while he stayed in school for a while. They live in the same neighborhood.
Then the girl’s mother came to the school looking for him, asking him what he had done to her daughter who arrived home crying.
He said he told her everything that transpired inside the classroom.
And then he said he was surprised to find the police arresting him.
The suspect is now detained at the Casuntingan police station while rape charges are being prepared against him.
Meanwhile another 21-year-old Industrial Engineering student who is enrolled in one of the schools in Mandaue City was also arrested for the alleged rape of a friend in barangay Jagobiao, Mandaue City Tuesday afternoon.
Opao Police station chief P Sr/Insp. Stephen Amamag-id said the student was arrested for allegedly raping and getting a friend pregnant.
