Pagsabungan captain brings MRF to his turf

CEBU, Philippines - Barangay Captain Andres C. Suson takes pride in having set up a mechanized material recovery facility in Pagsabungan, an accomplishment that led to his winning Mandaue City’s “Most Outstanding Barangay Captain” honor twice in a row.

Through his initiative, the barangay was able to acquire, among other things, a conveying system at P50,000.

Suson said the system minimizes the number of workers and the time to do the work, and efficiency is achieved all the time.

To ensure an effective MRF, a serious segregation campaign is in effect, which involves households, companies, and eight eco-wardens to go after violators, he said.
