Job fair organizers upbeat about outcome

CEBU, Philippines - Organizers of a job fair in Lapu-Lapu City scheduled for next week hopes to generate more than 1,000 local and overseas jobs for workers.

Jimmy Glomar, coordinator of the Lapu-Lapu City Cooperative Network, said his group is coordinating with the city’s Public Employment and Service Office.

The job fair is set on October 8, while the screening will start on October 7.

Companies operating inside the Mactan Export Processing Zone Phase I and Phase II will join the job fair.

The city Public Employment and Service Office had conducted several job fairs this year and had assisted job applicants who are now working different companies here and abroad. (FREEMAN)
