CEBU, Philippines - At the Talisay City Sports Complex in barangay Poblacion yesterday, more than 1,000 senior citizens in Talisay City availed of the services of a medical mission, which was spearheaded by the city government and the provincial capitol.
Felipa Solana, City Social Welfare Officer, said the beneficiaries also received slippers and milk.
In that same affair, Gov. Gwen Garcia also gave honorarium to the city's barangay health and day care workers.
Barangay tanods were also given kits containing flash lights and other things necessary for their work.
Solana said this is the second year that the city has celebrated "Halad sa Gugma alang Kang Lolo ug Lola," the Capitol's annual project for all senior citizens all over the province. (FREEMAN)
