The HBO bar tour, co-sponsored by Cosmopolitan Philippines had My Globe chick Joey Mead hosting the affair where the city’s hippest and most happening people were glued in front of the TV set as they watched the first episode of the series, which had its cable premiere last May 14. Among the guests were supermodels Tweetie de Leon-Gonzales who arrived with hubby Momon, Phoemela Barranda, actress Ruffa Gutierrez, Cosmo ed-in-chief Myrza Sison, Robina Gokongwei-Pe , TV personality Cher Calvin of F, Wish’s Mia Borromeo who arrived with Jacques Dupasquier and friend Christophe Lejeune, MTV VJ Anna Shier, Rep stalwarts Liesel Batucan and Karla Gutierrez.
With all the women there, could the men be far behind? Hunks Troy Montero and Marc Nelson provided the girls with eye candy, and so did model Miguel Fabie, Juan Elizalde, Gutsy Tuason, Breakfast host JC Gonzales, Studio 23’s JM Rodriguez, ace lensman Raymund Isaac, stylish men Marco Antonio and Patrick Reyno, Rustan’s scion Mike Huang, who was with his group composed of Aimee Murillo, Anna Palabyab and Jerianne Ejercito. The Summit girls were represented by Anna Bautista, Ana Kalaw and Ianne Sison.
Later on, Miss Mead, who reminds other people of Carrie Bradshaw, hosted a few games, participated in by society mavens Tina Pamintuan, Rosanna Escudero (who looks like Charlotte) and model Kimi Johnson. Spicing up the affair was the presence of popular coffee to cocktails’ columnist Celine Lopez, who was with Victor Consunji, sexy actress Sam Lopez who was with Jojo Manlongat, graphic designer Kara Tolentino, chic restaurateur DJ Montano who was with friend Ching Jorge, models Malou Araneta, Cutie Del Mar, Heather Steele, Cathy Lopez and Zhara Khatibi. The Cal Carrie models were there, too – Dianne Sison, Bianca Valerio, Jamie Topacio who was with stylist Rosario Herrera.
Later in the evening, more partyphiles joined in on the fun at Venezia. Restaurateur Rikki and Beng Dee arrived with Trish and Philip Cu-Unjieng, banker Raul Manzano, Bernie Concepcion who was at the bar with Tara Santos, Malou Fernandez and Bledes Fores and Karen Santos were all present that Tuesday night.
