Kids come first with Nickelodeon

MANILA, Philippines- It was an afternoon of fun under the sun as Nickelodeon opened its orange doors to 8,500 kids and kids-at-heart welcoming them to Nick World at Bonifacio Global City Open Field.

They had a blast at the SpongeBob’s Jellyfishing Trampoline, new show Planet Sheen’s Giant Multi Slide and the A-Dora-Ball Bounce House.    They also “smelled” their way to the “Snotty Nose Blows” and got slimed so gooed.

To prove that “kids come first” with Nickelodeon, they were allowed to speak and be heard at the Speak Nick Corner where anything and everything they squeaked and screamed about were welcomed.

Everyone learned a few Mandarin words as they welcome the cute, playful, and adventurous preschooler Kai-Lan. Kids joined Kai-Lan’s Chopsticken relay game. Kai-lan said ni hao (“hello” in Chinese) to everyone and even did a dance number to everyone’s delight. There was also the Penguins of Madagascar’s Crooked Path game.

Kids went into an adventure with Dora in an interactive story-telling session with Melissa the Storyteller. After which, they enjoyed passing a hat from one player to another without using their hands in Dora’s Sombrero Pass game. Dora, the Explorer also dropped by and said, hola! Animal lovers were thrilled when they saw Diego’s furry friends in a special animal show. In a game called Diego’s Animal Rescue, kids wore rescue packs similar to Diego’s to save toy animals in a cage.

There was an action-packed wushu performance by the kids of White Tigers. To make the number more the exciting, Aang of Avatar joined the group and performed awesome air-bending moves. When Danny Phantom showed up, he and the kids punched and kicked their way to defeating the evil Meaty Monster. In between the programs, a siren signaled something all Nicksters love…slime time!

Everyone enjoyed a special screening of the new Nickelodeon show The House of Anubis. Kids grooved to the rhythm and moves of the Nick World Dancers who danced ala Tori Vega of Victorious’ to the tune of the hit song Make it Shine.

The event reached fever pitch after SpongeBob’s Bucket Bailout game as the Bikini Bottom superstar SpongeBob SquarePants surprised everyone with his presence. The yellow fellow even came with his friends from Bikini Bottom — Patrick Star and Squidward Tentacles! The Nick World Dancers performed the closing number with Nick characters .
