WATCH: Snake devours mouse

SINGAPORE — Did you know that snakes do not eat as much as humans do?

In fact, most of the snakes at RepTopia in Singapore Zoo only eat twice a month!

Luckily, Philstar.com had a chance to witness how a snake consumed its white mouse prey.

There are various ways how a snake devours its prey. In this video, a corn snake, which is a constrictor, suffocates its prey by squeezing its body around its victim. It takes hours before the snake can fully swallow and digest the mouse. — Video by AJ Bolando, editing by Kat Leandicho
