Redoing your home or furnishing your out-of-town haven

Back to nature: Cap Martin Sunset designed by Carlo Calombo for Cappellini

Now that we’ve been spending an inordinate amount of time at home, the pandemic has forced us to look at our living spaces with fresh eyes.

Maybe you’ve had to turn one of your rooms into a WFH office, or decided that moving out of the city altogether is the best option.

I look at the clutter of the three rooms we occupy and how the furniture is wearing out, and want to redo the whole thing entirely.

Luckily there are many options for home shopping out there, and one that really gibes with my taste for modern, sophisticated furniture is Studio Dimensione.

Studio Dimensione is the design furniture arm of Dimensione, a design hub that is a one-stop shop where you can find everything you need for the home, from classic and heritage pieces to avant-garde and minimalist designs.

They exclusively distribute designer furniture brands from Europe, like Fritz Hansen, the Danish brand that boasts designers like Arne Jacobsen, creator of the iconic Egg chair, and the best of Italian furniture design from Cappellini, Foscarini, Arper and MDF Italia.

Here is our guide to Studio Dimensione’s brands, and our top picks.  As someone perennially short of storage I love MDF Italia’s shelving system, that beautiful solar lamp from Foscarini, and maybe I’ll just treat myself to an Egg chair for my reading nook.
