Live a square life

MANILA, Philippines - Space planning or being able to do more with the space available is one major challenge condo dwellers face. More often than not, residents are not able to do much with the narrow rectangular space that is typical of today’s condominium developments.

SOC Land has creatively designed Anuva, its 2.4-hectare mid-rise condo development along the East Service Road of the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX), in such a way that its units will have roomy squarish configurations.

According to Justine Mercado, SOC Land vice president, living in a condo is like living in one large space. And as such, you would want it to be as “large” and as flexible as possible.

“With a square unit, interior spaces are maximized since you will not have to waste much space on hallways,” she said. “At Anuva, one can be sure that area measurements include actual livable areas within the condo unit’s peripheral walls.”

Mercado advised homebuyers to check whether the total area of the condo unit being quoted by a developer is accurate. She warned that some developers tend to include in the computation additional remote spaces like laundry area even if it is at the condo’s roof deck.

Anuva’s 80-percent open space is made scenic by abundant water amenities including a lazy river, swimming pool, a 50-meter lap pool, a lake, and a lagoon. The view also includes the condo’s booming neighborhood along the East Service Road of SLEX in Barangay Buli, Muntinlupa.

These are complemented by a themed park and playground and a garden doubling up as meditation or yoga area. For the more active ones, there are a basketball court, bike lanes, and jogging paths.

With its innovative squarish unit configurations, 80-percent open space, low-density floor plan and lifestyle amenities comparable to high-end condos, Anuva is truly a value-for-money home. It sells for about P62,000 per square meter as compared to other projects priced at P96,000 per sq.m. Straight payment for Anuva is also available at zero-percent interest for as low as P8,000 a month.
