Ascott, the first Wi-Fi hotel in Makati, celebrates 25 years

MANILA, Philippines - Glittery masks, wild colorful decor, delectable culinary delights and festive samba beats set the stage for Ascott Makati’s celebration of the Ascott Group’s 25th anniversary. Carnaval, a Brazilian-inspired event honors the top 25 supporters of Ascott Makati and loyal residents that have come to truly know the serviced residence as their home in the Philippines.

While Ascott Makati is officially two years old since its rebranding in 2007, it has transformed its serviced residences to lavish yet warm living spaces. The property underwent refurbishment introducing warm and stylish interiors plus modern home comforts. And to help our guests feel right at home, Ascott Makati introduced the Ascott Host program — its one-stop solution for long-staying residents. These are the homey elements and distinction that have enabled Ascott Makati to evolve from a centrally-located property to a five-star home.

In partnership with Globe Business, Ascott Makati honors the corporations and residents for their sterling support. Led by country general manager, Arthur Gindap and property general manager, Lew Yen Ping — the Ascott team toasts to more fruitful years ahead.

Ascott International pioneered the serviced residence concept with its first international-class property, The Ascott Singapore, on Scotts Road in Singapore in 1984. Over 25 years, Ascott has, through its three brands Ascott, Somerset and Citadines, grown to be the world’s largest owner-operator in the business, with 25,000 units in 66 cities over 22 countries. Ascott has 190 properties in Asia Pacific, Europe and the Gulf region.

For existing long-staying guests who make succeeding reservations for one month or more, they get a complimentary night for each month’s stay — up to seven free nights. Guests may redeem their free nights at any Ascott International property worldwide.
