Dear Lucy,
I really have a difficult time drawing wing tips on my eyes. And I keep buying colored eyeshadow but use it only when a professional does my makeup. Otherwise, it just sits there in my makeup kit, functioning like decor, almost.
I also need a good moisturizer that does not clog pores. What can you recommend?

I, too, have a difficult time doing wing tips and for that I get a little help from tools. I do not rely solely on skill. I use a slanted flat-tipped brush and dip it into powder, then I use that to pat on the flicked tip, which will then serve as my guide as I draw liquid eyeliner over it. Using the flat-tipped slanted brush makes things 10 notches simpler. Re-colored eyeshadow, I only use it one way — to add depth to my eyeliner. I like cobalt blue and emerald green eyeshadow and because I am really no makeup artist with any fancy shmancy skills, I again rely on a brush to apply. Over my black or dark brown eyeliner, I dip a flat- tipped brush (you can use the slanted one for this, too, basically it just has to be stiff and flat so that it delivers the pigment well) into a pot of colored eyeshadow powder and I pat on the pigments over my eyeliner. What it does is add depth and diffuse the harsh line.
Regarding moisturizers, I love Marula, available at the beauty section of SM. I love the scent, I love how pure it is, and I love that it moisturizes the skin without making it feel and look greasy. Try it and you will get hooked for sure.
