MANILA, Philippines - The Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts in the Philippines recently celebrated its annual media appreciation party, Hunger Games style, at Edsa Shangri-La, Manila’s Isla Grand Ballroom. Up to three hundred of the country’s media partners attended the movie-inspired fete, all dressed in tribute garb and Capitol Couture. The event began with a grand musical orchestration to usher in the parade of tributes from the districts of Shangri-La’s Resort & Spa Mactan, Shangri-La’s Resort & Spa Boracay, Makati Shangri-La, Manila and Edsa Shangri-La, Manila - just like the movies with a welcome address by President Snow played by Shangri-La Philippines’ well-loved area general manager Alain Borgers.
Borgers said, “Never have we been more unified as a hotel group. Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts in the Philippines are bound together in solidarity, striving to forge a stronger future.
