Philippines-Mexico Business Council confident of continued growth in trade and investments

MANILA, Philippines - During the launch of the new Philippines-Mexico Business Council (PMBC), Mexican Ambassador Julio Camarena summarized the investment climate of Mexico in the Philippines, making Mexico one of the top foreign investment partners of the Philippines in 2013. The current structural reforms that Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto has undertaken have encouraged economic change seeking investor opportunities.  

The new Board of Directors was presented with Pedro Roxas (Roxas and Company, Inc.) as chairman, Juan Ramon Felix of Coca-Cola- FEMSA, vice chairman, Fernando Gaspar, (ICTSI) vice chairman, Atty. Jose “Chito” Buenaventura, council secretary and Jose “Jovy” Cruz, treasurer, Amalgamated Investment Bancorporation.

The PMBC seeks to be an alliance of businessmen and corporate leaders interested in pursuing trade and investment between Mexico and the Philippines.
