The life of this successful Avon leader is soap-worthy

When she looks back at her Avon journey, Rosallie Soriano sees all the challenges and blessings that came with it and acknowledges that it has all been worth it.

MANILA, Philippines - Rosallie Soriano, who became a young wife and mother at 20,  joined Avon to earn extra income and contribute to her family’s budget. But she never anticipated the rewards she would reap: success in the business, financial stability for the family, and a role in GMA Network’s primetime telenovela Prinsesa ng Buhay Ko, where lead star Kris Bernal plays Cess, an Avon Lady.

In the drama, Soriano plays Cess’s sales leader, a role that she auditioned for upon the recommendation of her division manager.

“Avon Ladies are the stars of this show,” Soriano says. “It’s really an honor for me because I am representing the Avon community and the company’s hardworking sales leaders.”

The road to success

When she was starting, Soriano peddled Avon products to the homes of her prospective buyers. Through customer referrals, her network grew.

In her first month at Avon, Soriano didn’t miss a single free seminar and training session. The following month, she was already named Top Seller in her branch. In just a few years, Soriano was promoted as a franchise dealer and went on to become a sales leader.

“I appreciate it when people recognize my hard work. I love how the company would reward its top-selling employees with incentives,” she says.

Today, Soriano is reaping the fruits of her hard labor.  Two of her kids have already graduated from college, and one of them even decided to help her with the Avon business. The future looks even brighter because she knows all the hard work she invested can be passed on to the next generation through Avon’s succession plan.

Now 21 years in the business, Soriano is on top of her game.

“But it also means more responsibilities. I am hands-on in training my recruits because I want to influence and motivate them myself,” she explains. “I also make it a point to come to work excited and inspired, so my team will be like that, too. A positive environment makes work easier and encourages people to put in their best.”
