Alliance Française de Manille announces new officers

MANILA, Philippines -  Alliance Française de Manille (AFM) announces the arrival of its new director Mr. Stéphane Doutrelant. Doutrelant was formerly director of Alliance Française in Bangkok, Thailand for four years. He will be assisted by AFM’s present deputy director Mickaël Balcon.  

AFM held its general assembly on Aug. 27, and elected its board of directors and officers for the year 2009-2010.   Elected officers were the following: Deanna Ongpin-Recto, president; Bernardo Sim, 1st vice-president; Sevrine Miailhe, 2nd vice-president; and Christian Ratier, treasurer. Re-elected members of the board were Ramon Antonio, Jacques Branellec, Leovino Garcia, Concepcion Poblador, Markus Ruckstuhl, and Lulu Tan-Gan Gueta. Newly-elected member was Felice Sta. Maria, a multi-awarded book author and member of the UNESCO National Commission of the Philippines
