Tropical depression "Agaton" still threatens Eastern Visayas. At 4 p.m. yesterday, it was estimated at 350 kms east-northeast of Surigao City with maximum sustained winds of 45 kph near the center. It is moving west-northwest at 7 kph.

"Agaton" is expected to be at 190 kms east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar this afternoon.

Public Storm Warning Signal No. 1 is in effect in Eastern and Western Samar, including Homonhon Island, and Surigao del Norte, including Dinagat and Siargao islands.

The diffused tail-end of a cold front affects northeastern Luzon.

Bicol, the Visayas and northeastern Mindanao will be cloudy with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms, becoming widespread rains over the eastern sections of the Visayas and Mindanao.

Northeastern Luzon will be mostly cloudy with scattered rainshowers. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with rainshowers and isolated thunderstorms.

Coastal waters in Luzon will be moderate to occasionally rough. Elsewhere, seas will be slight to moderate.
