Palace announces new officials of 6 agencies
MANILA, Philippines — President Marcos has appointed new officials of six agencies and a state-run firm, including the acting chief of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA).
In a Facebook post, the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) said Joshua Bingcang has been named acting president and chief executive officer of the BCDA, whose mandate is to convert former military bases into investment and business sites.
Bingcang will also be a member of the board of directors of the state-run firm.
He served as the senior vice president of BCDA’s conversion and development group and head of the New Clark City Project Management Office.
He was named president and chief executive officer of the Clark International Airport Corp., a subsidiary of BCDA, last March.
PCO also announced the appointment of Jose Angelo Martires and Ubaldo Sadiarin Jr. as agrarian reform assistant secretaries.
Three new agriculture officials have also been appointed, namely Bernadette San Juan (director IV), Fidel Libao (director III) and Joell Lales (director III of the Bureau of Agricultural Research).
There are also new appointees in the Department of Foreign Affairs – Mersole Mellejor (Philippine ambassador to Nigeria) and Raquel Solano (interim chief of mission class II).
Marcos also named Napoleon Juanillo Jr. as science assistant secretary.
He has also promoted and appointed officials in agencies under the transportation department, namely Roy Echeverria, now vice admiral of the Philippine Coast Guard, and Rhouan Loseriaga, who has been named private sector representative of the Toll Regulatory Board.
The President has also made new appointments in the PCO, namely Analisa Puod, who has been appointed acting general manager of the People’s Television Network Inc., and Allan Vincent Lorenzo, assistant director general of the Philippine Information Agency.
