MANILA, Philippines — The southwest monsoon or habagat will bring rain to Metro Manila and some areas of Luzon while other parts of the country will have fair weather in the next three days.
In a three-day weather outlook issued yesterday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Typhoon Josie is now outside the Philippine area of responsibility and no weather disturbance is directly affecting the country.
However, monsoon rains will affect the western section of Southern Luzon, which means cloudy skies with chances of rainfall for the provinces of Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, Northern Palawan (including Kalayaan Islands), Cavite and Batangas.
Metro Manila, with temperatures ranging from 24 to 30 degrees Celsius, will have higher chances of rain in the next three days.
Baguio City, which will be cooler at 16 to 23 degrees, is forecast to have isolated rains and thunderstorms while the Bicol region can expect more rains on Tuesday but better or fair weather by Wednesday.
PAGASA said most parts of the Visayas and Mindanao will have fair weather, which means partly cloudy to cloudy skies with chances of scattered rains and thunderstorms.
