Order of Lakandula for Dominguez, Go, Medialdea

MANILA, Philippines — President Duterte has conferred the Order of Lakandula on Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III, Sen. Bong Go and several other officials.

Dominguez received the Order of Lakandula with the Rank of Grand Cross (Bayani) for his exemplary service to the nation, particularly his contribution to the success of the administration’s “Build, Build, Build” infrastructure program.

Go received the Order of Lakandula with the rank of Grand Cross and Order of Lapu-Lapu with the rank of Magalong.

The Order of Lakandula is awarded to individuals who have served the country with distinction, especially though political and socio-civic endeavors.

Also conferred the Order of Lakandula with the Rank of Grand Cross are Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea and members of the government’s infrastructure team – Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade and presidential adviser on flagship programs and projects Vivencio Dizon. Dizon also serves as presidential adviser for COVID-19 response.

Duterte also awarded the Presidential Medal of Merit to Dominguez, Medialdea, acting presidential spokesman and Communications Secretary Martin Andanar, Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, peace and reconciliation
adviser Carlito Galvez Jr., Health Undersecretary Ma. Rosario Vergeire, Education Secretary Leonor Briones, Social Welfare Secretary Rolando Bautista, Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III, Civil Service Commission Chairman Karlo Nograles, Health Secretary Francisco Duque III, Interior Secretary Eduardo Año, National Security Adviser Hermogenes Esperon Jr., Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi and Philippine Sports Commission Chairman William Ramirez.

The Presidential Merit Award is one of the highest awards conferred by a Philippine president on individuals in recognition of their contribution to nation building.

Radio TV Malacañang (RTVM) executive director Dennis Wilfred Pabalan, Assistant Secretary for special concerns Joseph Lawrence Garcia and Undersecretary for media accreditation and relations office Feducia Mia Reyes-Lucas were conferred the Order of Lapu-Lapu with the rank of Magalong.
