San Beda University to confer honorary degree on Isko

MANILA, Philippines — San Beda University (SBU)’s College of Law will confer an honorary doctor of laws on Manila Mayor Isko Moreno during its virtual 2020 Commencement Exercises on Dec. 12.

Moreno will be the ninth to receive the honorary degree in the history of the SBU’s College of Law after Andrew Gotianun (1994), former Supreme Court justice Florenz Regalado (1999), lawyer Mariano Camacho (1999), Hungarian chief justice Pal Solt (2001), former president Corazon Aquino (2001), former chief justice Hilario Davide Jr. (2002), former president Fidel Ramos (2016) and former Senate president Edgardo Angara (2018).

SBU confers the honorary degree on individuals in recognition of their exemplary contributions to society or lifetime achievements in their own fields.
