Pump prices increase anew today

MANILA, Philippines — Local petroleum companies raised pump prices anew today as global oil prices ended the previous trading week slightly higher.

Gasoline prices were raised by P0.40 per liter, diesel prices were raised by P0.20 per liter and kerosene prices were raised by P0.15 per liter.

This is the seventh consecutive week gasoline prices were increased and the fifth successive week for both diesel and kerosene.

Eastern Petroleum, Flying V, Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc., Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., PTT Philippines Corp., Seaoil Philippines Inc. and Total Philippines Corp. implemented their respective price adjustments at 6 a.m.

Price increases of UniOil Petroleum Philippines Inc. took effect 6:01 a.m.

Meanwhile, Caltex and Petron Corp. have yet to announce their respective price changes as of this writing.Crude prices ended last week’s trades slightly higher after Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and non-OPEC producers announced plans to boost supply to offset a shortfall from Iran once US sanctions take effect on Nov. 4.
