SULTAN KUDARAT, Philippines — The provincial government is offering P1 million cash incentive for information that would lead to the arrest of the culprits in the bombing here Tuesday night.

Two were killed while 34 others were injured in the attack, among them two soldiers and a member of the Citizens Armed Forces Geographical Unit.

Sultan Kudarat Gov. Pax Mangudadatu on Wednesday told reporters he is ready to shell out P1 million to any informant who can help the police identify the bombers.

“I shall personally hand it over to whoever deserves to receive it,” he said.

Officials of the Army’s 6th Infantry Division said there are indications that the bombing was perpetrated by the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters.

The BIFF is operating in the fashion of the Islamic State.

The bombing marred Tuesday’s municipal harvest thanksgiving “Hamungaya festival,” a yearly event in Isulan, a booming agricultural town in the Sultan Kudarat.

Isulan is also the capital of Sultan Kudarat province, which is under Administrative Region 12
