MANILA, Philippines — Starting today, prices of cooking and auto liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) will increase by 90 centavos per kilogram.

In a text advisory, Petron Corp. said the increase will take effect at 12:01 a.m. today.

The price of AutoLPG will also go up by 50 cventavos per liter.
“These reflect international LPG contract prices for the month of July,” Petron said.

Other companies have yet to announce their respective price adjustments.

Local retailers are following the pricing of Saudi Arabia’s state-owned oil company Saudi Aramco, which sets an international price benchmark at the beginning of each month.
While Saudi Aramco has set its July contract price for propane at $555 per ton, lower than the $560 per ton in June, the Philippine peso depreciated last month to an average of P53.048 to the dollar, compared to P52.915 in the previous month.
