MANILA, Philippines — Aspiring lawyers, along with their friends and family, weathered the sporadic rain and sweltering heat at the Supreme Court compound in Padre Faura, Manila on Thursday in the hopes of finding their name among the bar exam passers.
As soon as Associate Justice Lucas Bersamin, 2017 bar chair, said that the country has 1,724 new lawyers, shrieks, hugs and uncontrollable tears filled the otherwise quiet SC quadrangle.
