Sara to lead launching of pro-Duterte group today

The Philippine Star

DAVAO CITY – In his seemingly constant squabble with critics and political foes, President Duterte will have a new group – organized by his politician daughter – to depend on for support.

Presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio is leading tomorrow’s launch of  Tapang at Malasakit Alliance for the Philippines, which she and organizers hope would greatly help the President answer critics and deliver his message of unity and dedication to service and hard work.

The official launch of the group would be held at the Maquis Events Place in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.

Sara has lately been very vocal against critics of her father, especially opposition Sens. Antonio Trillanes IV, Risa Hontiveros and Francis Pangilinan, whom she accused of planning to unseat the President by sowing political intrigues.

Sara explained that tomorrow’s event in Taguig would only be the start and that she would also visit other areas in the country to drum up support for her father’s administration.

During the campaign period, Sara joined her mother Elizabeth Zimmerman in Biyaheng Du30 bus trip to key areas in the Visayas and Mindanao.

Core members of the Tapang at Malasakit alliance were individuals who had actively campaigned for Duterte in 2016.

Membership in the alliance is viewed as a pledge for a better Philippines and commitment to public service, aside from being a reaffirmation of trust in the President.

Members of the alliance must trust Duterte’s vision of change for the Philippines, a nation long besieged by systemic and deeply rooted corruption, poverty, peace and order issues and narco-politics, the alliance maintained.
