MANILA, Philippines - President Duterte’s partner Honeylet Avanceña yesterday gave assurance that his health is fine amid the fight against terrorism and illegal drugs.

“The President is ok, there is nothing to worry about,” she told The STAR during the 17th International Convention of the Philippine Franchise Association  (PFA) at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

Avanceña did not elaborate on Duterte’s health as she was busy touring the three-day exposition featuring successful franchise business. She also led the ceremonial ribbon cutting of the exposition attended by top business and government officials.

Avanceña is among the members of the PFA being a franchisee of Dunkin’ Donuts in Davao City.

Diwa party-list Rep. Emmeline Aglipay Villar represented Sen. Cynthia Villar who was guest speaker of the event.

Exposition chairman Jose Magsaysay said in his keynote address that franchising business is the top job generator in the country, employing at least 65 percent of the labor force.

The PFA is the voluntary self-regulating government body of franchising in the Philippines. It is also the pioneer and largest franchise association.
