Besides Boho beach waves, bangs are making waves in hair trends these days, with the likes of actresses like Liza Soberano, Pia Wurtzbach, Isabelle Daza and stylist Liz Uy taking the lead. Other iconic stars known for their bangs are Audrey Hepburn, Barbara Streisand, Zooey Deschanel, and lately, Dakota Johnson and Emma Stone.

Bangs, according to hairstylists, are a natural means to frame and contour the face.

In an interview with Philstar.com, actress and TV host Isabelle Daza said she is loving the “Liz Uy” bangs she wore at the recent launch of a computer brand in Taguig City, so she thought about keeping it.

To create the summer 2017 hair contouring trends for the runway, one of the masters of hair contouring in the world, L’Oreal Professionnel hair color expert Matthew Collins, flew in to treat the crowd to a live hair show and showcase how women can fear no damage using the brand's new SmartBond.

The brand also unveiled the ambassadors of hair contouring plus Smartbond, Miss Universe runner-up Shamcey Supsup, actress Lauren Young, and model Jessica Yang. The three women embody the three profiles of Filipinas; Conservative, Modern, and Adventurous. The company also worked with three young designers, Esme Palaganas, Patty Ang and Stacey Rodriguez to further highlight the hair contouring plus Smartbond looks.
