MANILA, Philippines -- Vice President Leni Robredo has cleared her schedule Monday to attend her first Cabinet meeting, her office said Sunday.

Robredo, whom President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed head of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council, met with council officials on Friday night and has been given documents to brief her and prepare her for the meeting on Monday.

The HUDCC, which former Vice Presidents Noli de Castro and Jejomar Binay also headed during their terms of office, oversees and coordinates government plans and policies on housing and development.

Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG Fund), Home Guaranty Corp., Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board, National Housing Authority, National Home Mortgage Finance Corp., and Social Housing Finance Corp. are attached agencies.

"As it is her first meeting, her initial aim is to get up to speed with the policy and work priorities of the administration," Robredo's spokesperson Georgina Hernandez said in a statement to media. She said Robredo is also looking forward to meeting and working with other members of the Cabinet.
