MANILA, Philippines – The late Overseas Filipino Workers Club party-list Rep.Roy Señeres’s remains were buried on Sunday morning.

Reports said that the remains of 68-year-old Señeres were laid at the Manila Memorial Park in Parañaque City.

Señeres’s burial was attended by his family, colleagues and migrant workers. The mourners paid their last respects at a Mass held at Funeraria Paz, also in Parañaque City.

Señeres died of cardiac arrest on Monday just three days after he withdrew his certificate of candidacy for president. His family asked the Commission on Elections to remove his name from the official May 9 poll ballots.

Aside from being a solon, Señeres also served as a National Labor Relations Commission chair and ambassador to the United Arab Emirates.
