With Imelda in tow, Romualdez files COC for senator

MANILA, Philippines — Leyte Rep. Martin Romualdez on Tuesday filed his certificate of candidacy for senator in the 2016 national elections.

Romualdez will run as a senator under Lakas-CMD.

"We will wait for all candidates to file," Romualdez said when asked about his platform.

The lawmaker was accompanied by his aunt, former first lady and Ilocos Rep. Imelda Marcos, at the Commission on Elections when he filed his candidacy.

Meanwhile, his cousin, Sen. Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr., is expected to file his candidacy for vice president on Tuesday afternoon.
