MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED 11:27 a.m.) — Tropical storm "Kabayan" has exited land mass on Friday morning and is now headed to the West Philippine Sea, according to weather bureau PAGASA.
At 11 a.m., it was located 70 kilometers northwest of Dagupan City, Pangasinan.
It packs maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour (kph) and gusts of up to 80 kph. It is likely to move west northwest at 20 kph.
Public storm warning signals are still raised in the following areas:
Signal No. 2
- La Union
- Pangasinan
Signal No. 1
- Benguet
- Ilocos Sur
- Tarlac
- Zambales
"Estimated rainfall amount is from moderate to heavy within the 300 km diameter of the tropical storm," the state weather bureau said.
The typhoon is expected to leave the Philippine area of responsibility by midnight.
