HONG KONG (Xinhua) - An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale jolted six kilometers north northeast of Hinundayan, Southern Leyte at 07:57:28 today (23:57:28 GMT), the US Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 37.99 km, was initially determined to be at 10.4125 degrees north latitude and 125.2667 degrees east longitude.
