DOT launches ‘More Fun Idols’

MANILA, Philippines - The Department of Tourism (DOT) is kicking off a sequel to the “It’s More Fun in the Philippines” tourism campaign.

Dubbed “More Fun Idols,” the new campaign features the frontliners in the tourism industry.

They include boatmen, hotel staff, janitors, sales assistants, tour guides and drivers, among others.

David Guerrero, creative chairman of BBDO Guerrero, a global advertising, marketing and corporate communications company that is handling the campaign, yesterday said the new promotion encourages tourism frontliners and the rest of the public to adopt a culture of tourism – something that would make every guest’s experience safe, fun and unforgettable.

Guerrero said the campaign, which is supported by TV and radio commercials as well as print ads and billboards, celebrates those who exhibit qualities of the ideal tourism partner.

The campaign launch came soon after the DOT resumed its international tourism promotions with the launch of the Boracay “24/7” television commercial developed by BBDO Guerrero.

The agency also launched recently its follow-up spot that highlights Davao as a tourism destination with endless options for adventure and relaxation.
