(UPDATE) 5 stabbed to death in Baguio

MANILA, Philippines (Xinhua) - Five people, including three children, were stabbed to death at an apartment in Baguio yesterday, regional police spokesman Supt. Davy Vicente Limmong said today.

Vilma Marquez Nociete, the mother of two of the victims, told police that she received a text message from her daughter at around 5 p.m. yesterday that a visitor was looking for her father.

The mother then went home and discovered the victims lying on the floor covered in blood.

Police said the victims sustained multiple stab wounds.

The victims were rushed to the hospital where they were pronounced dead on arrival.

Police have launched an investigation to determine the identity of the suspect and determine the motive behind the killings.
