Westlife adds 2nd Philippine date on 25th anniversary tour

MANILA, Philippines — Irish pop group Westlife has added a second date in the Philippines for its ongoing 25th anniversary world tour after tickets to the first date sold out.
Westlife initially announced that it would be returning to the country on January 20, 2027 for a show at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Tickets for that show were made available last May 15 and sold out quickly, prompting concert promoter Wilbros Live to announce a new show date would be added on the following day, January 21.
Members Shane Filan, Nicky Byrne, and Kian Egan confirmed the new show in a video posted on the promoter's social media pages.
"Philippines! It's unbelievable, the show on the 20th of January is sold out so guess what boys? We're adding another [show] on the 21st," Egan. "We cannot wait guys, thank you so much for all your love and support."
Byrne closed out the video with an attempt at Filipino, "Philippines, you rock, mahal namin kayo!"
The three men are the only members expected to participate in the whole tour as Mark Feehily continues to deal with health issues. Brian McFadden left the group in 2004.
Westlife last performed in the Philippines in 2023 for a sold-out concert at the Araneta Coliseum. It was notable visit because fellow boy band Backstreet Boys performed at the Mall of Asia Arena on the same day.
Some of their best-known songs include "My Love," "If I Let You Go," "I Lay My Love on You," "Swear It Again," "Fool Again," "Seasons in the Sun," "When You're Looking Like That," "World of Our Own," and "Queen of My Heart."
The boy band also made popular covers of "Uptown Girl," "You Raise Me Up," "More than Words," "Nothing's Going to Change My Love For You," "I Have a Dream," "Mandy," and "What About Now."
