SB19 performing at Japan's silver Summer Sonic; Jennie, Le Sserafim also in line-up

MANILA, Philippines — P-pop kings SB19 are taking music festivals by storm after being included in the line-up for the 25th anniversary of Summer Sonic.
The annual Japanese festival is held simultaneously in Chiba and Osaka, bringing international artists closer to the Japanese people.
Past headliners include Beyonce, Jay-Z, Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, Queen, Stevie Wonder, the Black Eyed Peas, Coldplay, My Chemical Romance, The 1975, Guns N' Roses, Green Day, Linkin Park, Oasis, Arctic Monkeys, Radiohead, Beck, Blur, Beastie Boys, Nine Inch Nails, and Metallica.
SB19 will be part of Day 2 line-up of the Chiba leg on August 15 headlined by David Byrne. Also performing there are Alex Warren, Suede, and Good Neighbors, among many others.
Performing on the other Chiba days as well as in Osaka are the likes of Jennie Kim of Blackpink, Le Sserafim, Kodaline, Jade, The Strokes, FKA Twigs, Babymonster, MGK, Pentatonix, and "KPop Demon Hunters" star Audrey Nuna.
This year's Summer Sonic will be two weeks after SB19 performs at the United States' Lollapalooza music festival, a first for any homegrown Filipino music act. Coincidentally Jennie is also performing at Lollapalooza this year.
The boy band is currently preparing for their "Wakas at Simula" concert at the SMDC Festival Grounds next month.
