MANILA, Philippines - "Ghostbusters" will return to the big screen with an all-female cast.

the Guardian has reported that Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon will play the formerly all-male lead cast of the film, which will be directed by Paul Feig.

The film’s original cast are Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Sigourney Weaver, and Harold Ramis.
There was an attempt to reunite the four, but Bill Murray declined and then Harold Ramis died.

In a previous interview with Entertainment Weekly, Feig said he had thought of having an all-female cast because he likes "work with funny women.”

Feig said that the all-female "Ghostbusters" would be a "restart" from the old film.

The film's shooting will start this summer in New York.
