BTS breaks Spotify records with comeback album 'Arirang'

MANILA, Philippines — BTS have only been back for a few days and they're already breaking records again.
The K-pop boy band officially made their comeback with the release of "Arirang," the group's tenth album but first in six years, which they performed in a special concert at Seoul's Gwanghwamun Square last March 21.
Before the album even dropped last March 20, it had already becomed the most pre-saved album Countdown Pages in the history of streaming platform Spotify more than five million presaves.
"Arirang" then went on to be the most streamed album in a single day in 2026 and the most streamed K-Pop album in Spotify history.
The streaming platform has a number of in-app features and immersive experiences dedicated to ARMY, highlighted by the "Now Live: BTS Music Quiz" where fans can even do head-to-head challenges with friends.
BTS will now prepare to promote "Arirang" in a sprawling world tour, the group's first in four years, which will span over 82 show dates in 34 cities across 23 countries.
That includes two concerts in the Philippines — currently the tour's final stop — in March 2027, marking the boy band's first performance in the country in a decade.
