Panday Kids: Final showdown

MANILA, Philippines - GMA Network’s Panday Kids is now down to its final week, with the young superheroes set to lead the ultimate battle of good versus evil.  Televiewers will miss Panday Kids Oliver (Buboy Villar), Hadji (Julian Trono) and Charlie (Sabrina Man). The prophecy has chosen them to protect the legendary sword and save humanity from the evil forces of Lizardo (Marvin Agustin).

During our set visit, Gelli de Belen, Marvin Agustin, Jackie Rice, Polo Ravales, Paulo Avelino, Rich Asuncion and Jolina Magdangal admitted they were very sad especially during their last day of taping. “Lahat na ng pwedeng pag-usapan at pagkwentuhan ay nagawa na namin sa set tapos nahirapan po ako sa script, yung dialogue chini-change sa Bisaya on the spot. Tapos yung emotion, dun ako nahihirapan sa pag-iiyak na Bisaya.” says Gelli.

“In fairness kay Ola (Jolina Magdangal’s character), hanggang huli nandun, parang aampunin namin ang mga bata dahil malaki itong bahay ko. Hindi naman nagbago ang look ni Ola na akala ko magbabago dahil hanggang huli, kulot pa rin siya,” shares Jolina. Is she marrying boyfriend Mark Escueta? “Hindi pa nag-propose sa akin si Mark kaya malabo ang sinasabing may plano na kaming pakasal,” she replies.

“Sobrang kulit kami dito, ang kulit ng mga bata. Nagta-talent portion sila sa tent. Basta lagi kaming masaya, kaya dun ako lagi sa tent ng mga bata, mahilig kasi ako sa mga bata,” says Rich.

Paulo, on the other hand, shares that he and LJ will name their first child Ethan Akio. “Yung Ethan po, parang brave or strong po yata ang meaning and yung Akio naman po, I think, hero po. It’s a Japanese name. Kung saan-saan po namin hinanap ang name hanggang sa makahanap nga po kami ng bagay.”

The series also stars Iza Calzado, Ryan Eigenmann, Jose Manalo, Tirso Cruz III, Pen Medina, Marissa Delgado, Nanette Inventor, Bernard Palanca, Isabel Granada and Akihiro Sato.

Starting tonight Flavio, the Panday (played by Jomari Yllana) will make a special appearance.
