MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu denied she went out of her car to dance her accidental hit “Bawal Lumabas: The Classroom Song" on main thoroughfare EDSA.

"Sa nagpapakalat ng fake news na sa edsa ako sumayaw, hello?!!! Okay ka lang??? Bakit ako sasayw sa gitna ng edsa. Takot ko lang. DYOS KO. Please stop spreading FAKE NEWS. Please lang," Kim said in an Instagram post today.

She tagged Angelica Panganiban in the post, clarifying that she danced the song in a restaurant's parking lot after delivering pieces of her song's official merchandise.

"Moms @iamangelicap sa edsa daw yung PARKING LOT ng tipsy pig?... kaya pa ba? Ikaw na nagdeliver ng merchandise, ikaw pa pagbibintangan ng fake news... hay.... life...... hindi po biro magbenta ng merch, first time kong ginawa to pero okay lang I know this is for a good cause. let’s spread love not hate," Kim pleaded.

"COVID ANG KALABAN NATIN, HINDI ANG KAPWA TAO."

According to a Daily Tribune report, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority Assistant Secretary Celine Pialago said they received a screenshot of the viral video showing the actress in workout clothes while dancing outside her car.

“We have so many problems that should be addressed and for the meantime, this is our reaction to the issue concerning actress Miss Kim Chiu,” Pialago said.

“We will verify the truth about the report. We will check if this video of Miss Kim Chiu really happened on EDSA. We will invite her to explain her side then we will act accordingly,” she added.
