MANILA, Philippines — "RuPaul's Drag Race" fans are in for a treat as fan-favorite Alaska 5000 brings her much-anticipated show to Manila on Thursday.

Iconic American drag performer and recording artist Alaska was first introduced to fans when she competed in the fifth season of "Drag Race" where she was a runner-up. She later returned for Season 2 of the show's "All Stars" edition, this time emerging as the winner.

Since appearing on the Emmy-winning reality competition, Alaska, known as Justin Honard in real life, has toured and performed consistently, appearing in "RuPaul's Drag Race Battle of the Seasons" shows, the "Drag Stars at Sea" cruises, custom shows such as a Stevie Nicks tribute called "Stevie Forever," a cabaret show called "Red for Filth" and a holiday show called "Blue Christmas." She also starred in a stage production of "Sex and the City" in 2014.

Alaska has also pursued a music career, and released a string of singles such as "Ru Girl," "Your Makeup Is Terrible" and "The T," among many others. She recently became a spokesmodel for American Apparel alongside fellow "Drag Race" stars Willam Belli and Courtney Act.

Fans can catch her perform live on Thursday, August 29, at Samsung Hall, SM Aura Premier.
