36 Miss Philippines 2019 hopefuls

MANILA, Philippines — The 36 official candidates of the 2019 Miss Philippines were presented to the media by Miss Philippines Foundation, Inc. president Victor Torre at the Garden Room of Marriott Hotel in Resorts World Manila last July 24. 

“Our candidates from the islands north to south of the archipelago will serve as the ambassadors in showcasing the best of the Philippines. The mesmerizing beauty of Coron, Palawan will be the setting during the swimsuit competition on Aug. 29 and Candelaria, Quezon, for the evening wear competition sometime in October,” said Torre. 

Six major titles are at stake ­— Miss Philippines Tourism Queen International Elite, Miss Philippines Face of Beauty International, Miss Philippines International Global, Miss Philippines Globe, Miss Philippines Polo International and Miss Philippines All Nations. Each of the six winners will take home P100,000 cash prize, a crown worth P100,000, modeling contract and the right to compete in global pageants abroad. Runners-up will be named Miss Maharlika and Miss Pearl of the Orient Seas. The coronation night will be held at the New Performing Arts Theater in Resorts World Manila (RWM) on Oct. 13.  

Reigning queens are Cheska Apacible, Samantha Coloso, Celline Negosa, Angelic Ciolo, Rosene Bernardo and Ayrra Averill.
